PowerFlex 7000 ASD (PF7000)可作为标准产品的一个选项在同步切换应用中使用。同步切换允许电机在变频器供电与频率固定的电源供电之间“实现”平稳切换。PF7000既可应用于单变频器／单电机组合，也可以应用于单变频器／多电机组合。在同步切换应用中，PF7000的调试可分为两个部分。
第一部分是对PF7000进行标准调试。该操作可由受过培训的服务工程师完成，调试后用作标准变频器。
第二部分是专门针对同步切换应用。这需要先前在工厂代表或高级服务工程师监督下执行过同步切换应用调试的服务工程师来完成。同步切换不当会造成严重后果，绝不能掉以轻心。如果同步切换设备安装或调试不当，将出现严重的设备损坏、工厂停电和／或人员受伤。本文档提供的指直可供受过培训的服务工程师在调试PF7000同步切换应用时使用。
