Micro830 控制器能轻松容纳多达 5 个功能性插件模块。功能性插件模块使机器制造商能够个性化定制控制器，无需增加产品体积即可增强功能性新的控制器系列还提供可拆卸式端子块 (大多数型号) 以及串行端口通信功能。晶体管输出型控制器还增加了嵌入式运动控制功能，支持 3 轴运动，使其能够应对更广泛的应用。
Connected Components Workbench 软件能够在 Micro800 全系列控制器以及PanelView Component 人机界面和 PowerFlex 变频器等其它组件产品之间通用。这种新型软件基于罗克韦尔自动化和 Microsoft Visual Studio 的成熟技术，为PanelView Component 操作员产品提供了控制器编程、设备配置以及与人机界面编辑器共享数据的功能。此外，该软件可支持 3 种标准 IEC 编程语言：梯形图、功能块图和结构化文本。
