NXB型SF6负荷开关是一种新型的柱上开关设备，额定电压12～24 kV，可开断负荷电流及关合故障电流，既适用于传统架空线路，也适用于带绝缘导线的架空线路。可配置电流互感器、电压互感器及远程控制箱（含RTU），既可实现多种的配网自动化方案，亦可逐步升级。
NXBD型SF6负荷开关实际上相当于一台柱上环网开关，由两台NXB开关合成一体。其电气参数与NXB一致。
